NDTV.com partners with SocialTwist to launch 'word of mouth' marketing

NDTV Convergence has joined hands with widget developer SocialTwist to promote its content online via word of mouth. The association allows NDTV.com's web pages to be powered by a Tell-a-Friend's button that enables NDTV content to be shared through email, Instant Messengers (chat), blogs, social networks, and bookmarking sites.
Tell-a-Friend has the capability to pick up relevant content from NDTV's page and make content-rich messages with excerpt text and photo of the story. This application results in building attentive audience based on personalized recommendation.
Commenting on the partnership, Sanjay Trehan, CEO, NDTV Convergence, said, "NDTV.com is one of the first portals to implement Tell-a-Friend across its verticals. Till recently, we have received over 10,000 content referrals through the application.
